Union Square Greenmarket
New York trumps London in the farmers market department. The market at Union Square is fantastic and loaded with top quality produce.
Fiaschetteria Pistoia
Checked in at the hotel - gosh hotels are pricey in New York now. It was time to visit an ex-colleague and his wife for dinner. What a dinner we had! They took BB and I to an Italian joint, which makes the most beautiful fresh pasta. To really explore and get to know New York you have to know locals. The restaurant we dined at felt like a proper neighbourhood hot spot. I was apprehensive the jet lag would catch up to me during dinner. Oh, how I was so wrong. It started with a beer, then it went to wine, then more wine and even more wine. By the end of the meal, things were out of control. It was up there with one of the most enjoyable and funniest nights I've had in a long time. Thank you A & J
Walgreens
’Cereal at Walgreens’ - Unfortunately over the past few months the devil has got hold of me and I’ve started to consume more of these soulless pieces of cardboard. Every time I take a mouthful I feel ashamed of myself. Why do I allow my palate to be taken over by something made with so little love? Just think, a croissant could be melting in my mouth with butter and jam or even a simple boiled egg, cooked for three minutes, would ooze a golden flow of lava to bring great delight to my stomach.
Dunkin' Doughnuts
Tempted to go in and get one? Light and fluffy doughnuts 🍩.
Nathans Famous
Some look at these pink bangers and think literally ’hot dog food’, while others hold them in high regard as the best fast food snack. I definitely value a good hot dog. It's so magical in the mouth when you break through the skin and the moist meat inside explodes flavourful juices. His and hers - pretty impressed how this came out on a film camera.
Street Food
What would you choose?
Pretzels are perfect snacks for when you are walking around the streets of New York. I love how the chewy dough moulds to your teeth and the salt on the outside lures you back for more + it is not messy!

Walking around New York a hell of a lot of smells fill the nose. Some good and others bad. The one that penetrates my memory log the most is the sweet aroma of caramel coming from the nuts carts. If you know, you well and truly know! So good

Final post from the trip and it’s one I am over the moon to share with you. Snowcones once again remind me of so many memories of living in the States and I’m slightly sad I won’t have another one of these for a while. C YA NYC it was a pleasure as always.
