@fitzroyoffowey is a sister restaurant of the well known Western Laundry. Instead of being in London, it can be found in Fowey harbour. It is a modern British restaurant that aims to let the quality of ingredients sing. Of course, being within fishing distance of the sea there are plenty of great seafood options available. More photos are to follow!
St Austell Bay mussels and a plate of fried lemon sole fillets with curry mayo. The mussels were plump and sweet, not surprising considering they came from just down the road. Just look at the colour of that mayo and what a perfect condiment for the lightly battered sole. Sublime cooking 👍🏻
Monkfish, runner beans and a green sauce. It might be one of the scariest fish in the sea, but it sure tastes good! Meaty with a bit of a bite, a monkfish tail is always a favourite of mine. There was great flavour in the green sauce. However, the tail was slightly tepid, which did bring a minor downer to the dish. 🎣

Nothing better than a lobster covered in a filthy amount of butter, garlic and fresh herbs to bring a smile to your face. Living in the countryside currently a lobster sets you back a good £30, seeing them for sale for £10 when down in Cornwall really makes me question where I live. This was excellent @fitzroyoffowey

The highlight of the meal was the incredible flourless chocolate cake. We ordered one of these to share and after that one was consumed, we ordered another. It was utterly scrumptious, like a warm chocolate mousse - so good! @fitzroyoffowey do you do delivery this?
