Watermelon, lardo, almonds and basil. This was an absolutely phenomenal flavour combination that once again made for a perfect dish on a summers day. I'm not even a big watermelon fan. However, this was something else, everything worked in harmony to stimulate a divine sensation in my mouth. Unbelievable scenes! I will certainly be replicating this on a summers day and will be washing it down with a crisp glass of rosé.

I’m always being asked what restaurant I'd recommend in London... the answer to that is @clipstonerestaurant . A restaurant that captures the products of the season in clean, crisp and well presented dishes. Two city bods and myself chose to visit this restaurant on a glorious summer evening. We sat outside, tucked into a few drinks and basked ourself in the sun. The vibes couldn't have been more on point. Shortly after arriving, our hipster waitress brought out the menu. But, by this point we’d had a few pre-dinner beverages and choosing something was the last thing we wanted to contemplate with. Hence, we chose to take the tasting menu and relax back in our seats. To start the shenanigans we had a Burrata covered in courgette and edible flowers. It truly portrayed a vision of summer on a plate and it tasted magnifico.
Who wants one desert when you can have three! This course marked a fairly comical moment in the evening. A lady on a nearby table came over and asked if she could also take the photo I was taking. I've never had that one before! The stand out dish here was the strawberries with a buttermilk pudding and summer herb granita.
