It haf been an absolutely outstanding few days of celebrations, which was much deserved after a long month in the library questioning my own sanity. Last night rounded it all up when my pen pals and I met up once again in London for a meal at Berber & Q. Walking down a dark gloomy alleyway in Haggerston I spotted lights under archways and that was it, I knew I’d found another little hipster spot in a gentrified area of London.
For me it’s not just about the food, but what really makes a great restaurant is the interior and vibe. At @berberandq they have some spectacular lighting, which certainly fulfilled my obsession with filaments! Also, the music that they had on in the background was on point. I’d recommend hitting this place up for a date or before a night out.
Look at that 👆🏻, what a selection of meats!! I highly recommend the boned and rolled lamb shawarma. However, for £17, I do think the meat to come without a vegetable side is slightly pricey, even for London. Overall, I’d highly recommend this restaurant and it is definitely worth a visit. Luckily for myself, it is round the corner from the notorious Mayfield mansion.
