These are poffertjes and they are small, airy and light pancakes, which are a traditional Dutch dish. They can be served with sweet and savoury toppings. However, I tucked into the strawberries and cream version for my breakfast. I can highly recommend trying these at De Vier Pilaren, which was a gem of a place - full of character and Dutch charm. They also have games you can play at the table, which was highly entertaining for us all. Sorry Mr Koolhoven for pronouncing these wrong every time!
