Welcome to the Coal Office, a sleek restaurant serving up some mouth-wateringly good Middle Eastern food.

Kubaneh, is a Jewish Yemeni bread, which reminds me of a croissant and brioche combined. Hand on my heart this is one of the best breads I’ve ever had and is a must try on the menu coming in at £6.50. It was served with yoghurt, tomato confit and oregano.

The tuna tataki was to die for @coaloffice. 10 for texture, taste, presentation and freshness.

Wow wow wow wow wow.... Josperized Aubergine 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - Green tahini, pistachio and lots of wow. This dish was spectacular and the aubergine was beautifully smokey.

Baked bone marrow and shawarma. To some bone marrow sounds highly unappetising, but those who are not overly squeamish will know it’s a true delight. I remember being a child and always hunting down the lamb chops with the most marrow.

Octopus and oxtail. Ok so the food here is excellent, but so was our dining experience. Johnny our waiter was probably one of the most engaging and hospitable I’ve encountered in London. My mother was not very well and he couldn’t have been more helpful by bringing her a cup of hot water with lemon and honey.

‘Uri’s Mothers Basbossa - Tahini Ice Cream, Rose Custard’. You can’t miss this - it was delicious. Even though it’s 9am I could eat this right now. Thank you @coaloffice for a great meal and you’ve now entered my top 10 in London.
